We are aware that, from time to time, members of the parish may find themselves being asked to read Bible passages in public. This can be awkward for some who may not be used to the writing style of many of the authors contained in the Bible. Likewise, many people may feel unsure of themselves in reading passages - especially Gospel passages - as they want to present the words clearly, but may not understand how to effectively covey the meaning of the words.
To help with this, we have developed this page with links to external websites that will give you insight and understanding about the Bible, the pronounciation of words, and information about the role of the Lector in the Ministry of Proclaiming the Word of God.
We hope you find this information to be helpful.
