This Sacrament is the litugical celebration of God's forgiveness of the sins of the penitent, who is thus reconciled with the Church. The acts of the penitent -- contrition, the confession of sins, and satisfaction or reparation -- together with the prayer of absolution by the priest, constitute the essential elements of the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
The Sacrament is available for all practicing Catholics from 3:45PM to 4:30PM each Saturday unless otherwise noted in the bulletin. Special Penance Services during the seasons of Lent and Advent are held throughout the Deanery at each of the parishes. Times and locations are printed in the weekly bulletins.
Information about the Sacrament of First Confession for children is available as part of our Religious Education Program. Adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of Initiation are asked to contact the Parish Office at (732)-329-2893 and discuss with the staff the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
